NOIS (nitrous oxide inhalation sedation)
Some children/adults are often anxious or full nervous before their dental visit or even some get anxious while sitting on the chair. such situations need more tender care, here nitrous oxide comes in the picture.
WHAT IS NITROUS OXIDE INHALATION SEDATION?
It is entirely a very safe sedation that helps to calm & relax during the whole dental procedure & it allows the doctor to effectively perform the treatment.
A fitted mask is placed on the nose & patient breathes a mixture of N2O & O2., the patient is fully conscious during the treatment . 100% oxygen is given at the end of treatment for 5 mins & patient is ready to leave from the office.
